Cotman is Winsor and Newton's Studio grade of watercolour. We carry a select range of Cotman water colours that are affordable for student use. While affordable they have uncompromising quality with excellent tinting strength. Available individually or in our water colour sets. To supplement your collection, try Winsor Newton Professional quality, or a more affordable artist quality colour like M. Graham watercolours.
We've stocked Winsor and Newton's Professional Water-colour since we started the store back in 1994. While many brands have come and gone many artist's still insist on the consistency they have come to expect from Winsor & Newton. Winsor Newton watercolours offer unrivalled transparency which is achieved by their unique process of pigment dispersion during manufacture. The natural characteristics of each pigment highlights the paint’s transparency level. In water colour painting, thin washes are applied allowing the white of the paper to reflect through the wash.
